The most important detail: this is a lease

Clicklease buys equipment from the seller and leases it to the business. Ownership requires completing a purchase option. Compare the full cost to own, the early-purchase calculation and the payment start date—not just the advertised monthly payment.

Clicklease reviews: BBB, Trustpilot and customer experiences

Positive feedback to look for

Visible reviews praise helpful, patient representatives and assistance with account questions. These comments concern service experiences; they do not establish that the reviewer obtained the lowest financing cost.

Concerns to investigate

Customer narratives raise questions about total payments, purchase-option amounts, billing and equipment problems. Treat them as reported experiences and compare them with the company’s response and your proposed agreement.

Why isn’t one BBB customer score published as definitive?

During this source check, BBB’s review page and page-one view returned inconsistent score/count combinations. The final retrieval showed 2.49/5 from 84 reviews, while an earlier retrieval showed 3.18/5 from 133. We could not establish which display reflects the complete current review set, so we have not averaged the figures or selected the higher one.

Use reviews to improve your questions: ask for the contract before signing, a full-term ownership total, an early-purchase quote and a clear explanation of what happens if equipment is delayed or defective.

Clicklease BBB rating, accreditation and complaints

BBB business rating

Complaint record

Check the live recordRetrieved complaint totals differed during this review. We link the record rather than present an uncertain count as settled. Read complaints and responses.

The BBB letter grade is separate from customer-review stars. Accreditation is not a government license or a promise about the price, suitability or outcome of a lease.

Complaint-count discrepancy and how to read the record

One retrieved version showed 142 complaints over three years and 42 closed in the last 12 months. Another showed 138 over three years and 34 in the last 12 months. These are different retrieved displays, not a calculated complaint range. Check the live page’s wording and dates before quoting a total.

Read the complaint, company response and status together. A response marked “answered” does not necessarily mean the customer considered the matter resolved. Counts alone also lack a verified customer-volume denominator.

What matters before you sign

For any billing or disclosure concern, compare the seller’s explanation with the actual lease. Save the invoice, signed agreement, payment schedule, purchase-option terms and relevant correspondence. Ask the lessor to resolve any discrepancy in writing before you commit.

Is Clicklease legit or legitimate?

Public records support that Clicklease is an operating equipment-leasing company. Its privacy policy identifies ClickLease, LLC, a Utah company, and a Draper address. Its official history says it was founded in 2018; a matched BBB record provides another independently hosted business record.

Sources: Clicklease: legal entity, address and customer-care contacts · Clicklease: company background · BBB: Clicklease LLC business rating and accreditation.

That establishes an identifiable business, not that every offer is low cost or suitable. The key decision is whether the equipment’s expected benefit justifies the payment obligation and ownership cost.

Historical California regulatory record

A California Department of Business Oversight order dated April 3, 2019 revoked finance lender/broker license 60DBO-86048 for failure to file an annual report. The stated basis was a reporting failure. This historical order does not establish the company’s current licensing status, current state availability or the treatment of a particular lease.

Sources: California regulator: April 3, 2019 Clicklease order (PDF).

If licensing is material to your transaction, ask Clicklease for the legal entity and current authorization applicable to the product and state, then verify them with the relevant regulator. This profile does not conclude that Clicklease is currently barred from California and is not a comprehensive court or licensing audit.

Confirm the seller and lessor separately

  1. Use the official company website and verified customer-care contacts.
  2. Match the equipment description, seller, price and lessee name across the invoice and lease.
  3. Read the purchase option and payment obligations yourself; request clarification of any sales statement that differs.
  4. Keep the final agreement and a dated payoff illustration before authorizing the transaction.

Clicklease rates, interest, fees and total cost

Clicklease does not publish a conventional universal interest-rate or APR range in the sources reviewed. Its FAQ describes a fixed surcharge built into lease payments. A lease without a stated interest rate can still have a substantial financing cost; compare the complete cash outlay.

Sources: Clicklease: lease costs, purchase option and documentation fee.

Get the total cost to own in one written number

Add all required payments, upfront charges and the ownership option. Include taxes and other required costs once, without double-counting amounts already in the monthly payment. Ask for a separate total if you plan to return the equipment instead of buying it.

Worked example: scheduled cost—not a Clicklease quote

Assume equipment has a $10,000 cash price, the lease requires 36 payments of $400, a $199 documentation fee, and a $1,200 purchase option. Assume taxes, insurance and other charges are excluded from those figures.

Hypothetical figures for comparison only; not an actual offer, forecast or APR calculation.
Illustrative itemCalculationAmount
Scheduled lease payments36 × $400$14,400
Documentation feeSeparate upfront charge$199
Purchase optionSeparate end-of-term amount$1,200
Total to own before excluded costs$14,400 + $199 + $1,200$15,799

In this example, the ownership outlay exceeds the cash price by $5,799 before excluded costs. The $400 payment alone hides that difference. Ask each provider to show the same calculation for your equipment and chosen term.

Clicklease financing amounts, minimums and lease terms

Clicklease’s public pages do not show one consistent amount range. Use the limit attached to your seller and approved application.

Published Clicklease amounts differ by source; checked October 21, 2026.
Official sourceAdvertised amountHow to interpret it
Main websiteInstant decisions up to $30,000. SourceA marketing maximum, not a guaranteed approval amount.
Partner application pageUp to $25,000. SourceA different published application-channel figure.
Developer documentation$500–$25,000. SourceOlder integration documentation; not proof of a universal current $500 minimum.

What is the current minimum?

A single current minimum across all channels was not verified. Ask whether your invoice, taxes, delivery and other eligible charges meet the applicable program threshold. Do not combine the older $500 minimum and the homepage’s $30,000 maximum into one supposedly universal range.

What terms are available?

Clicklease says applicants see multiple payment and term choices. The reviewed detailed partner page does not state one numeric term range for everyone. Ask for each option’s payment count and ownership total.

Sources: Clicklease: lease costs, purchase option and documentation fee · Clicklease: detailed partner-page costs, early purchase and payment terms.

A longer term can improve monthly cash flow while increasing the total cost. If you expect to replace the asset or pay early, compare that scenario before selecting a term. Do not assume an advertised promotion on one dealer’s page applies to every customer.

Clicklease requirements: credit score, startups and documents

Clicklease explicitly markets access for new businesses and varied credit histories. These statements describe who may apply; they do not guarantee approval.

Published application features are subject to underwriting and the actual seller/program.
RequirementWhat Clicklease publishes / what remains unknown
Minimum credit scoreNo numerical minimum verified. All credit scores are welcome to apply. Source
Credit inquiryNo hard inquiry advertised for the application; the detailed partner page calls it a soft check. Source
Time in businessNo minimum business age advertised; startups considered. Source
LLC / EINThe detailed partner page welcomes sole proprietors and says an LLC or EIN is not required for that application. Source
Identity informationBasic personal/business information, SSN or ITIN and an equipment description; valid ID required at signing. Source
Revenue minimumNo universal monthly or annual revenue threshold verified. Ask what applies to your request.
Bank statements / tax returnsNormally not required for the advertised application; bank-account verification may be requested. Source
Bank verificationSome applicants must complete third-party bank verification to assess account/payment information. Source
Personal guarantee / UCCA universal rule was not verified. Ask who is liable and what collateral or filings the contract permits.
State / seller eligibilityConfirm your business location, equipment location and specific seller before committing.

Soft credit checking is not “no underwriting”

The important question is what the application authorizes and what you must sign. Do not infer that a soft inquiry eliminates a personal guarantee, banking review, collateral claim or obligation to pay.

If you are a startup or have limited credit

Get an equipment quote first, then work out a payment your business can carry during a slow month. Compare expected revenue after operating costs with the lease obligation. Approval alone does not show that the equipment will generate enough profit to cover it.

Clicklease equipment leasing: products, seller process and fit

Clicklease’s public site presents an equipment-leasing process: find an asset, apply, choose from approved payment options and have Clicklease pay the seller. The business receives use of equipment rather than unrestricted working-capital cash.

Sources: Clicklease: main program and advertised maximum · Clicklease: lease costs, purchase option and documentation fee.

Potential fit: a smaller equipment purchase

Our interpretation: investigate Clicklease for a smaller seller-based purchase where startup access and a simple application matter. Compare its full ownership cost with any loan or alternative lease available to your business.

Potential mismatch: a larger project or cash need

A project beyond the applicable approval limit, payroll funding, or a large commercial truck purchase may call for another program. Confirm the exact asset and amount before spending time on a full application.

Equipment and seller eligibility

Official site examples include mowers, sewing equipment, welding and tire-service equipment; the detailed partner material also features trailers. Examples are not a complete approved-asset list. Ask about the make, model, condition and seller involved in your purchase.

Sources: Clicklease: main program and advertised maximum · Clicklease: lease costs, purchase option and documentation fee · Clicklease: detailed partner-page costs, early purchase and payment terms.

The homepage says a preferred seller may be able to join its partner network. That does not establish universal acceptance of private-party sellers, auctions or every used asset. Get written confirmation before placing a nonrefundable equipment deposit.

Sources: Clicklease: main program and advertised maximum.

Where is Clicklease available?

Developer materials describe service for U.S. customers. A verified current state-by-state availability list was not located, so this profile does not claim coverage in every state. Ask about your state and the location where the equipment will be used.

Sources: Clicklease: developer documentation and older amount range.

Clicklease early payoff, purchase options and cancellation

How the published early-purchase calculation works

The detailed partner page describes an early purchase amount equal to 70% of remaining term payments, plus the purchase option and applicable taxes and fees. It calls this a 30% discount on remaining term payments and says there is no prepayment penalty. Obtain the formula applicable to your own signed lease.

Sources: Clicklease: detailed partner-page costs, early purchase and payment terms.

This is not a 30% discount off the equipment’s cash price, and it is not the same as paying an amortizing loan’s outstanding principal. A fee-free early purchase can still require substantial payment.

Early-purchase example using the illustration above

After 12 of the hypothetical 36 payments, 24 payments remain. Applying the published formula to those invented figures: 24 × $400 × 70% + $1,200 = $7,920, before applicable taxes and other charges.

Including the $4,800 already paid and the $199 documentation fee, total outlay would be $12,919 before excluded costs. That is $2,880 less than the hypothetical full-term ownership total. This arithmetic illustrates the formula; it is not a Clicklease payoff quote or a promise that your agreement uses these terms.

End-of-term ownership

The purchase option is a separate contract item. Ask whether it is automatically billed or must be elected, what the deadline is, and what document confirms transfer of ownership.

Returning equipment

The detailed partner page permits return at the end of the lease instead of purchase. Obtain the return condition, location, shipping costs, notice period and any renewal obligations in writing. Published ownership options.

Can I cancel the lease?

The detailed partner terms call the lease non-cancelable for its full term. Returning the equipment early should not be assumed to end the payment obligation. Ask what happens if the business closes or the asset no longer generates revenue.

Sources: Clicklease: detailed partner-page costs, early purchase and payment terms.

Can payments start before equipment arrives?

Yes, the detailed partner page says payments begin when the lease is finalized and may start before delivery. Confirm the exact first-payment date and how a delivery delay, installation problem or rejected equipment is handled.

Sources: Clicklease: detailed partner-page costs, early purchase and payment terms.

Repairs, guarantees, liens and insurance

The FAQ places maintenance and repair responsibility on the lessee. Ask who handles warranty claims and whether payments continue while the asset is unusable.

Sources: Clicklease: lease costs, purchase option and documentation fee.

Request the guarantee language, any security interest or UCC authorization, required insurance and release process. The public marketing pages did not establish a single rule for every contract. Have your accountant review tax and accounting treatment for the actual lease structure.

Clicklease vs. Taycor Financial vs. TopMark Funding

These companies provide useful contrasts: a smaller equipment lease, broader equipment financing and leasing, and a truck-focused funding search. The comparison helps identify the next quote to request; it does not establish a universal best or cheapest company.

Clicklease vs. Taycor Financial: a small lease or a broader equipment program?

Our interpretation: Taycor is a useful comparison when you want an equipment loan or alternative lease structure, especially if the purchase exceeds Clicklease’s applicable limit. For a very small transaction, ask whether Taycor’s lease minimum applies to the product you want.

Taycor’s equipment page advertises application-only financing up to $400,000, but its footnote limits low-documentation programs to existing, well-qualified customers with established borrowing history and credit. Larger or complex projects may require financial statements, tax returns and bank statements. The threshold is not a no-document promise for every startup.

Sources: Taycor: equipment financing, leasing and documentation thresholds.

Taycor’s FAQ also describes a two-hour approval target for requests up to $150,000 after a one-page application. Treat it as a provider claim, not a guarantee or the maximum available financing. Ask which current program and documentation standard apply to you.

Sources: Taycor: minimums, startup program, credit checks and purchase options.

Compare ownership outcomes: have Taycor price the option that matches your plan to keep, return or replace the equipment. A fair-market-value buyout is uncertain until valued; request a written explanation of the valuation process. Compare that with Clicklease’s stated purchase option using the same equipment price and payment horizon.

Compare upfront cash: ask both providers for a single amount due at signing. Include advance payments, documentation charges, taxes and any deposits. A 100%-financing headline alone does not tell you how much cash leaves your account immediately.

Compare early purchase: request dollar payoff illustrations at the same month from both companies. Ask how those figures change if the equipment is sold, damaged or replaced. Do not substitute a general “early payoff allowed” statement for the actual calculation.

Clicklease vs. TopMark Funding: small equipment or a truck transaction?

Our interpretation: TopMark is the more relevant comparison to investigate for a commercial truck, trailer or heavy-equipment purchase requiring an asset-specific program. Clicklease may still be relevant for eligible smaller equipment. First confirm that both providers can finance the same asset; otherwise the payment comparison is not useful.

TopMark’s truck guidance lists 650+ credit for its best semi-truck rates and prefers three or more years in business with CDL experience, while also considering startups. Those are truck-program benchmarks, not universal minimums across every TopMark product.

Sources: TopMark: equipment financing and truck qualification factors.

Its used semi-truck page lists terms from 12 to 72 months and says it uses a network of funding partners. Ask which lender or lessor would fund and service the transaction, what the advertised rate measures, and whether fees or an ownership payment are additional.

Sources: TopMark: used semi-truck terms and advertised starting rates.

For box trucks, TopMark describes dealer, auction and private-party purchases. It says down payments depend on credit, operating history and the vehicle’s age and mileage. An eligible used truck is therefore a different underwriting question from a small seller-approved machine.

Sources: TopMark: box-truck loans, seller types and startup considerations.

Compare the asset checks: provide the VIN or serial number, year, mileage or hours, condition report, seller information and intended use. Ask about inspection, insurance, title, registration, delivery and any lender restrictions. Get approval for the specific asset before committing to the seller.

Compare like-for-like costs: a published truck starting rate cannot be fairly compared with a smaller equipment lease’s monthly payment. Request the same asset price, upfront cash, repayment period, fees and ownership outcome. Include repair reserves and any downtime in your affordability decision.

Which company should you investigate first?

Small purchase and a new business: check Clicklease’s seller-specific eligibility and cost. A broader equipment purchase or different ownership structure: request a Taycor quote. A commercial truck or heavy asset: ask TopMark about the relevant vehicle/equipment program. These are starting points based on published product scope, not approval or savings predictions.

Five Clicklease questions to ask before signing

Copy this email and fill in the bracketed details. Ask for written answers and the proposed lease before making a decision.

How Clicklease works: application, delivery and account login

  1. Choose the equipment and seller. Obtain an itemized invoice and confirm that the seller and asset are eligible.
  2. Apply through the official channel. Clicklease advertises a short online application and automated decisions.
  3. Compare the approved offers. Review payment counts, upfront cash, total ownership cost and purchase-option terms.
  4. Complete required verification. Provide identity and any requested bank verification through the official secure process.
  5. Read and sign the lease. Save the agreement and confirm the first-payment date before signing.
  6. Coordinate seller payment and delivery. Confirm who handles delays, installation, acceptance and defects.

An advertised instant decision is not the same as immediate equipment delivery. Seller availability, verification and the finalized agreement still matter.

For a payoff, request a dated written quote with all charges and ownership steps. MCA Shield cannot access a Clicklease account, change payment terms or cancel a lease.

Clicklease company background and headquarters

The company’s official history identifies Bart Longson as founder and CEO and dates the business to 2018. The privacy policy lists ClickLease, LLC, 12921 Vista Station Boulevard, Suite 200, Draper, UT 84020.

Sources: Clicklease: company background · Clicklease: legal entity, address and customer-care contacts.

The BBB record also lists 2018 incorporation and local-start dates but carries an older 1998 business-start field. That discrepancy was not resolved, so this profile does not repeat the BBB “years in business” total as a verified operating history.
