Is RTS Financial a potential fit?
Worth comparing: trucking businesses evaluating invoice funding alongside fuel cards and mobile account tools.
Check first: broker eligibility, usable cash after deductions, nonpayment liability, contract renewal and the process for releasing reserves and liens.

RTS Financial reviews: Trustpilot, BBB and customer experience
| Platform | Published snapshot | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot | 4.1/5 from 1,288 reviews | Matched to www.rtsinc.com; the profile notes merged reviews. |
| BBB customer reviews | 1.07/5 from 56 reviews | A separate customer-review measure, not the BBB letter grade. |
| Google / Birdeye | No independently verified combined score assigned | Aggregated and location-specific listings may duplicate reviews. |
Trustpilot feedback includes praise for helpful representatives and service responsiveness. Negative feedback in the supplied research raises questions about communication, deductions, withheld balances and leaving a factoring relationship. Experiences differ across platforms and products.
The BBB review sample is much more negative than the Trustpilot score. Neither platform establishes a representative success rate for all RTS customers. Read recent comments about your intended product, rather than treating fuel-card feedback as a direct assessment of a factoring agreement.
Customer allegations are not findings of misconduct. Review the company’s response, transaction context and whether a resolution was reported. Do not add Birdeye totals to the Google reviews it republishes.

RTS Financial BBB rating, accreditation and complaints
The matched Overland Park BBB profile, listed as RTS under factoring services, displays an A+ rating and is not BBB accredited.
| Measure | October 20, 2026 check |
|---|---|
| Complaints in the last three years | 61 |
| Complaints in the last 12 months | 18 |
| Largest displayed category | Billing issues: 43 |
| Displayed statuses | 56 answered; 5 resolved |
These figures replace the earlier counts in the supplied research. An “answered” complaint is not necessarily resolved to the customer’s satisfaction. Complaint totals also lack a transaction-volume denominator.
Published disputes include deductions, contract exit and lien-release concerns. Company responses refer to agreement terms, documentation and account circumstances. Use these issues to request written explanations before signing.
A BBB grade, accreditation and customer-review stars are separate measures. The A+ grade does not mean customers rated RTS A+, and lack of accreditation does not by itself establish illegitimacy.

Is RTS Financial legit or a legitimate factoring company?
Public company information and the matched BBB record support RTS’s identity as an operating factoring provider associated with the Shamrock group. This is evidence of an identifiable business, not a guarantee of approval, favorable terms or an issue-free experience.
The BBB record lists an Overland Park address and a March 10, 2004 business start/incorporation date. Broader brand-history statements should not be substituted for the legal entity’s history. Match your agreement’s entity, address and official domain before signing.
Do not confuse RTS Financial’s factoring services with a similarly named collections business. A complaint or search result about a different company is not evidence about this provider.
This profile does not claim a complete litigation, licensing or regulatory investigation. A legitimate provider can still offer terms that do not fit your business.

RTS Financial services: factoring, fuel and trucking tools
Freight and commercial invoice factoring
RTS advances cash against eligible invoices and receives payment from the customer. Its website also lists staffing, oilfield and other industry factoring. The freight program should not be assumed to have identical terms to every commercial program.
Fuel cards and bundling
The current fuel page lists Fleet One, Self-Funded and Total Fleet options. Fleet One advertises credit up to $3,200 per truck per week; Self-Funded uses money you load. RTS advertises an average 45-cent-per-gallon saving across more than 4,000 locations, with the average based on 2025 data. Actual savings depend on stations and purchases.
RTS promotes bundling fuel and factoring. Request separate and bundled quotes. Calculate savings on your actual routes after card charges and any factoring commitments; a network-wide average is not your expected saving.
Equipment financing
The FAQ limits this program to RTS factoring clients. Eligible equipment includes new and used commercial trucks and trailers, with purchasing options including dealerships, auctions and private sales. Published structures include equipment finance agreements, simple-interest financing and refinancing.
The FAQ’s no-hard-credit-inquiry statement concerns equipment financing; it should not be generalized to every RTS product. Obtain the equipment payment schedule, total financing charge, security terms and consequences of ending the factoring relationship.
Other services
RTS offers insurance shopping through a carrier network, load-board access and transportation management tools. An insurance shopping service does not establish that RTS underwrites the policy. Ask which services require separate enrollment or fees.

RTS Financial factoring rates, fees and reserves
RTS does not publish one universal factoring rate in the reviewed current materials. Its rate calculator provides an estimate subject to underwriting and contract terms.
The freight page describes an advance of more than 90% and a remaining payment after collection, less fees. Your written quote should state the exact percentage and every deduction.
| Cost item | Written detail to request |
|---|---|
| Factoring charge | Percentage, fee base, covered days and later time tiers. |
| Reserve / escrow | Initial withholding, target balance, replenishment and release triggers. |
| Transfers | ACH, wire, expedited funding and any cutoff-related charge. |
| Minimum commitment | Monthly minimum, inactivity fee or minimum invoice volume, if applicable. |
| Problem invoices | Disputes, short payments, chargebacks and collection charges. |
| Exit costs | Notice, renewal, early termination, buyout and lien-release charges. |
The supplied research includes marketing references to no ACH or invoice-upload fees. Obtain confirmation in your own fee schedule; these statements do not establish that all account services are free.
Illustrative cost calculation—not an RTS quote
Assume a $10,000 invoice, a 90% advance and a total $250 factoring fee. Initial funding would be $9,000 before other deductions. The $1,000 reserve would produce a $750 final payment after collection if only that fee were deducted. Total proceeds would be $9,750.
If the actual agreement adds time-based fees, escrow, offsets or transfer charges, cash received changes. Request the same calculation for payment in 30, 60 and 90 days. A factoring percentage is not automatically an annual interest rate, and the amount advanced is not the same as net usable cash.

RTS Financial requirements: invoices, credit and eligibility
| Question | Published position or verification needed |
|---|---|
| What supports approval? | Invoice eligibility and customer credit are central; full underwriting applies. |
| Minimum credit score? | No universal personal FICO cutoff verified. |
| Minimum monthly revenue? | No universal threshold verified. |
| Time in business / new authority? | No blanket acceptance or minimum operating history verified. |
| Minimum fleet size? | No universal factoring truck-count minimum verified. |
| Funding limit? | Request facility, debtor and concentration limits; no universal ceiling established. |
| Existing factor, MCA or tax lien? | Disclose obligations and request a written priority/payoff plan. |
| Geographic eligibility? | Confirm your location and customers; fuel-network coverage is not proof of factoring eligibility in every jurisdiction. |
Can a startup or owner-operator qualify?
Ask RTS to pre-screen your operating authority, first invoices and intended brokers. The absence of a published minimum is not proof that there is no minimum. A creditworthy broker also does not make every load automatically eligible.
What documents should you prepare?
For a useful initial discussion, assemble your business details, customer list, invoice aging, sample invoice, payment terms and existing financing information. For trucking, ask whether rate confirmations, bills of lading, proof of delivery, authority and insurance documents are required.
This is a preparation checklist, not a verified universal RTS document policy. Request the exact list for your business and confirm whether incomplete delivery paperwork, customer disputes or older invoices prevent purchase.
Existing debt and liens
An existing financing arrangement may affect the availability of receivables as collateral. Ask whether RTS requires payoff, termination or subordination before funding. Obtain the amount left for operations after creditor payments and fees; gross facility size alone does not answer that question.

RTS Financial approval and funding timeline
- Request terms: provide business, customer and expected invoice information.
- Complete underwriting: confirm eligible customers, documentation and existing financing.
- Review the agreement: check fees, security, renewal and nonpayment obligations.
- Submit eligible invoices: confirm acceptance and the applicable funding cutoff.
- Reconcile collection: track customer payments, deductions and reserve releases.
RTS markets same-day funding and advances within 24 hours. That should not be interpreted as guaranteed first funding within one day of an initial inquiry. A universal application-to-first-deposit timeline was not verified.
Ask whether the promised time means approval, credit to an RTS account or cleared cash in your bank. Also confirm weekends, holidays, new-debtor approval and missing-document exceptions.

RTS Financial contracts, recourse, cancellation and UCC releases
Is RTS Financial non-recourse?
The supplied research includes educational explanations of recourse and non-recourse factoring, but those explanations do not establish the exact protection in every RTS offer. Request a written statement of the product you are being offered.
Ask who bears the loss when a broker becomes insolvent, simply pays late, disputes delivery or makes a short payment. Request the chargeback deadline, repurchase duties, guarantee provisions and any customer-credit limits. A non-recourse label does not by itself answer all those questions.
Reserves, escrow and offsets
Ask whether RTS can maintain an additional escrow beyond the ordinary invoice reserve, deduct from later invoices or apply balances to fuel or other obligations. Require a sample statement showing each balance separately and the event that permits release.
Contract length and automatic renewal
A universal RTS term, cancellation notice period and exit fee were not established. Request the proposed agreement before relying on a salesperson’s description. Identify the initial term, automatic renewal date, notice method, address and deadline.
Switching from RTS to another factor
Request an itemized payoff, final aging report, reserve accounting and written release process. Ask who must pay outstanding invoices, who delivers any release authorization to the new factor and when the UCC filing will be terminated or amended.
Stopping new invoice submissions is not necessarily the same as terminating the agreement. Build a transition schedule with both providers so customer payment instructions, open invoices and collateral releases are coordinated.
Can RTS refinance an MCA?
No universal MCA payoff or debt-settlement program was verified. An individual factoring transaction might require resolving existing debt, but eligibility and creditor cooperation cannot be assumed. Ask for the proposed payoff and net cash calculation before treating factoring as a solution to existing obligations.

RTS app, broker credit checks and account visibility
The RTS app page lists invoice uploads, purchase status, aging reports, broker and shipper credit information, fuel tools, load searches and equipment-loan visibility. These features can help connect funding and daily trucking operations.
Request a demonstration with your actual workflow: upload a delivery document, identify an unapproved debtor, locate a deducted fee and export a reconciliation report. Check who can view financial balances and whether driver access can be limited.
Ask how quickly credit-rating changes are reflected and whether a positive search result is formal approval for the specific invoice amount. Keep records of approval before accepting a load when payment eligibility matters to your cash flow.

RTS Financial vs. eCapital vs. Riviera Finance
Compare an actual offer for the same customers, invoice volume and payment dates. These providers differ in their published service emphasis and contract disclosures.
| Decision point | RTS Financial | eCapital | Riviera Finance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Published emphasis | Factoring plus trucking tools and fuel programs. | Freight funding with digital account tools and fuel bundles. | Non-recourse factoring, customer credit and collections. |
| Rate | Individual quote. | Individual quote. | Individual quote. |
| Risk protection | Confirm exact offered product. | Recourse and non-recourse options advertised. | Non-recourse program advertised; exclusions apply. |
| Initial setup | Universal timeline not verified. | FAQ describes a decision in a couple of days with paperwork. | FAQ estimates 4–7 working days for initial funding. |
| Contract disclosure | Term and exit schedule need confirmation. | Freight FAQ says no long-term contracts. | Standard six-month term, adjustable. |
| Main comparison question | What cash and obligations remain after deductions? | What does the chosen package actually include? | What credit events are covered and what lien priority is required? |
RTS Financial vs. eCapital
eCapital advertises funding as fast as one hour, mobile invoice handling, broker credit checks and fuel bundles. That speed claim is not the same as a first-application deadline. Its freight page includes differing advance examples, so request the exact percentage and net payment in your offer.
Its published options include recourse and non-recourse factoring; the FAQ discusses startups and customer credit. These are useful starting points for screening, not automatic approval. Its no-long-term-contract statement still warrants questions about notice and remaining obligations.
Editorial fit assessment: compare both when trucking technology and fuel integration matter. Test each with the same route, fuel purchases and invoice batch. Ask for a factoring-only quote and a bundled quote, then compare annual dollar costs without assuming advertised fuel savings apply to you.
For either provider, ask whether fuel balances can be deducted from invoice proceeds and what happens to card access during a factoring dispute. Compare the deposit destination, transfer availability, support contact and reconciliation reports—not just the advertised speed.

RTS Financial vs. Riviera Finance
Riviera advertises advances up to 95% and non-recourse credit protection on approved purchased invoices. Its FAQ allows startups with verifiable receivables and selective invoice funding, while requiring first priority over all accounts receivable.
Riviera distinguishes initial setup from ongoing funding: its FAQ estimates four to seven working days initially, with qualifying verified invoices funding within 24 hours afterward. Its standard six-month term can be adjusted.
The Riviera freight page advertises no monthly minimum, setup or monthly maintenance fees, while acknowledging transaction fees. That is more specific disclosure for these items than a generic “competitive rates” statement, but does not establish a lower total cost than RTS.
Editorial fit assessment: include Riviera when defined customer-credit protection and collections support matter. Include RTS when its trucking service combination fits your operations. Ask both to explain coverage for the same broker insolvency, delivery dispute and ordinary late-payment scenario.
For a switch, compare the new provider’s lien-priority requirements with the old provider’s release process. An attractive advance percentage has limited value if existing obligations prevent a timely transfer.
