Is Credibly a potential fit?
Worth considering: an established U.S. business comparing fast short-term working capital or an MCA and able to support daily or weekly withdrawals. Current main product pages generally publish 550+ FICO, six months in business and $20,000+ monthly deposits for working capital and MCA products.
Compare carefully: factor-rate financing can be expensive on an annualized basis, the site contains conflicting qualification thresholds, additional-financing restrictions can matter, and many longer-term products are provided through external partners rather than Credibly directly.
MCA Shield’s editorial suitability assessment based on the published product terms and research limitations—not a personalized recommendation. Check requirements · Review costs · MCA and existing-debt considerations.
About this page: public-source research, not a firsthand borrowing review. MCA Shield may earn referral compensation and offers paid placements. Paid placements are labeled Sponsored; inclusion is not an endorsement. Read the research and referral disclosures.
Credibly Reviews: Trustpilot, BBB & customer feedback
Ratings snapshot: October 15, 2026. Review counts change. MCA Shield does not combine platforms into one overall score.
Credibly’s Trustpilot score and BBB customer-review average tell very different stories and use very different sample sizes. Read the product involved, contract issue and company response behind each review rather than averaging the platforms.
2,813 reviews
Trustpilot shows a claimed profile with a paid subscription. The current distribution is approximately 90% five-star and 4% one-star. Positive themes include staff, communication, speed and ease of funding; recent negative feedback also raises issues around refinancing expectations and additional-financing restrictions.
3 customer reviews
The Michigan headquarters BBB page shows a very small sample. Published reviews discuss communication, collection interactions and a disputed charge connected with obtaining additional financing.
No numerical score assigned here
The supplied research did not independently establish a directly verified Google Business rating or reliable current Yelp, ConsumerAffairs, Facebook, Birdeye or BestCompany score. This profile does not invent them.
Recurring Credibly review themes
| Theme | What reviewers discuss | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Application speed | Positive reviews frequently mention quick decisions and funding. | Confirm that the speed applies to your exact product and provider. |
| Communication | Many Trustpilot reviewers praise individual representatives and updates during underwriting. | Ask who handles servicing, payoff, renewals and disputes after funding. |
| Additional financing / “stacking” | Recent public reviews include disputes over fees or restrictions when a borrower obtained other financing. | Read the exact contract restriction and fee trigger before accepting. |
| Collections and financial stress | The small BBB review sample includes complaints about interactions during financial difficulty. | Confirm default, cure, collection and reconciliation procedures in writing. |
Credibly BBB rating, accreditation & complaints
Credibly has more than one BBB location record. The Michigan headquarters is the stronger company-level record, while the New York location has a different accreditation status.
BBB Accredited
The Southfield, Michigan headquarters profile shows A+ and accreditation since September 24, 2010.
Current Michigan complaint-page snapshot
BBB’s headquarters complaint page displayed zero complaints at the October 15, 2026 check. Complaint counts can change, so use the live record for the current figure.
Not BBB Accredited
The separate 915 Broadway New York BBB listing shows an A+ rating but says that location is not accredited. Do not generalize that local status over the accredited Michigan headquarters.
Do not confuse complaints with customer reviews. The current Michigan complaint page shows zero complaints, while the separate BBB customer-review page still displays three reviews averaging 1.0/5. Those are different BBB measures.
Credibly loan requirements: product-specific minimums & conflicts
Credibly’s financing products do not share one universal qualification screen. Current product-specific pages generally provide more useful guidance than generic banners—but the site still contains conflicting figures.
| Product | Personal FICO | Revenue / deposits | Time in business |
|---|---|---|---|
| Working capital loan | 550+ on current main product page | $20,000+ average monthly deposits on current main product page | 6+ months |
| Merchant cash advance | 550+ | $20,000+ average monthly revenue | 6+ months |
| Business line of credit | 700+ through partners | $20,000+ average monthly deposits/revenue | 6+ months |
| Equipment financing | Generally 550 in supplied research | $25,000+ monthly deposits | 12+ months |
| Long-term financing | Generally 680+ on current main page in supplied research | $500,000+ annual revenue | 24+ months |
| SBA financing | Lender/program specific | Lender/program specific | Program specific |
Sources: Working capital requirements ↗ · MCA requirements ↗ · Line-of-credit requirements ↗.
Credibly’s working-capital page has conflicting indexed versions: the current product-specific content shows 550+ FICO and $20,000+ average monthly deposits, while another recent version of the same URL showed a generic application banner with 500+ FICO and $15,000+ monthly revenue. Do not advertise “500 FICO minimum” as a universal product requirement.
Best publication approach: use the current product-specific thresholds in comparison tables and label them “generally required” rather than guaranteed approval criteria. Partner-provided products can impose different underwriting rules.
Credibly interest rates, factor rates, fees & total borrowing cost
Credibly publishes more pricing detail than some competitors, but factor rates and monthly interest rates should not be presented as APRs. Product and partner fees still require written verification.
Starting factor rate
Credibly advertises factor rates as low as 1.11 for current working capital loans and merchant cash advances. The actual factor depends on underwriting.
Typical origination fee
The current working-capital page states that most deals include a 2.5% origination fee and provides a $50,000 example.
| Cost item | Published information | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Working capital factor rate | Published Starting at 1.11. | Your actual factor rate, total repayment, term and effective annualized cost. |
| MCA factor rate | Published Starting at 1.11. | Total purchased amount, remittance amount and reconciliation provisions. |
| Working-capital origination fee | Published Most deals include a 2.5% fee. | Whether the fee is deducted from proceeds or added to repayment. |
| Business line of credit | Published partner pricing 3%–5% monthly interest advertised; draw fees may apply. | Actual APR/effective annualized cost, draw fee, maintenance fee and payment schedule. |
| Late / default / UCC / partner fees | Not fully published | Every contingent charge in your agreement. |
| Prepayment | Product-specific | Whether charges are reduced, any early-remittance discount and payoff amount at your expected date. |
Sources: Working capital pricing ↗ · MCA pricing and early-remittance disclosure ↗ · Partner credit-line pricing ↗.
A factor rate is not APR. Ask for the amount deposited, total repayment or purchased amount, every fee, payment/remittance schedule and a comparable annualized cost before comparing a factor-rate product with a conventional loan or revolving credit line.
Credibly working capital loans, merchant cash advances & partner financing
Credibly is both a direct financing provider and a facilitator of external financing. Keep the product and funding-provider relationship visible when comparing terms.
| Product | Published amount | Repayment / term | Provider relationship |
|---|---|---|---|
| Working capital loan | $25,000–$600,000 | Daily or weekly; 6–24 months | Direct |
| Merchant cash advance | $5,000–$600,000 | Daily or weekly remittance; estimated 3–24 months | Direct; future receivables are purchased |
| Business line of credit | Up to $300,000 on current main page | Weekly or monthly; 3–24 months | External partner network |
| Equipment financing | $10,000–$10 million in supplied research | Up to 5 years | External partners |
| Long-term business loan | Up to $10 million | Up to 10 years; monthly | External partners |
| SBA financing | Program / lender specific | Program / lender specific | Participating lenders |

California entity note: Credibly’s current MCA page says working capital loans and MCAs to merchants in California are provided by Retail Capital LLC; other Credibly products in other jurisdictions are provided by Credibly or Arizona LLC. Identify the exact legal provider in your agreement.
Credibly collateral, personal guarantees & UCC filings
Security and guarantee requirements vary by product. “Unsecured” does not automatically mean no personal obligation, no UCC filing or no contractual restrictions.
No collateral or personal guaranty required for the MCA product
Credibly’s current MCA page states that no property, equipment or personal assets need to be pledged and says no personal guaranty is required; future receivables secure the advance.
Working capital, partner LOC and UCC treatment require the agreement
Most working-capital amounts are advertised without traditional collateral; larger transactions can differ. Partner credit lines may require a personal guarantee. A universal UCC filing policy was not established.
Get the actual security documents. Ask whether a UCC-1 filing is permitted, what assets are covered, whether additional financing is restricted, what fees can be triggered, and when any filing or security interest is terminated after payoff.

Credibly vs. OnDeck vs. National Funding: side-by-side alternatives

| Comparison point | Credibly | OnDeck | National Funding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Representative product | Direct working capital loan. | Business term loan. | Working-capital financing. |
| Published amount | $25K–$600K. | $5K–$400K. | Up to $500K on current homepage disclosure. |
| Common published screen | 550+ FICO, 6+ months, $20K+ monthly deposits on current product page; source conflicts exist. | 625+ FICO, 1+ year, $100K annual revenue. | 6+ months, $250K annual sales, no hard published credit-score minimum on current bad-credit page. |
| Repayment | Daily or weekly; 6–24 months. | Daily or weekly; up to 24 months. | Daily or weekly; general disclosure 4–24 months. |
| Pricing disclosure | Factor rate from 1.11; most working-capital deals include 2.5% origination fee. | Publishes historical average APR context; actual offer varies. | No universal current APR verified. |
| Why compare it? | Lower published FICO screen and explicit factor/origination example, but factor-rate economics and contract restrictions require careful review. | Lower annual-revenue screen and APR context; frequent payments still matter. | No hard published FICO minimum, but a higher annual-sales threshold and frequent repayments. |

Credibly company overview, ownership & business identity
Credibly is a privately held financial-technology and small-business financing company. Its current company page describes direct working-capital and merchant-cash-advance financing plus access to several partner-provided products.
Founded in 2010, according to Credibly
Credibly says it began as RetailCapital in 2010 and later rebranded as Credibly. BBB lists an earlier January 1, 2007 business-start date, which may reflect a different organizational milestone.
Ryan Rosett and Edan King
Credibly identifies Ryan Rosett and Edan King as co-founders and co-CEOs. The company remains privately held; ownership percentages were not independently established in the supplied research.
Is Credibly legit? It has an identifiable operating history, current company/contact pages, named leadership, a matched BBB headquarters profile and a long-running Trustpilot profile. Those facts establish a verifiable company identity—not guaranteed approval, low cost or suitability for every business.

Credibly application, underwriting & funding process
Online prequalification
Credibly offers an online application that can be completed in minutes.
Bank statements & identification
Working-capital underwriting commonly requests three to four months of business bank statements and government-issued identification.
Soft initial inquiry
Credibly says its initial application uses a soft credit inquiry. Partner-provided products may involve additional credit review later.
More than the credit score
Credibly says its working-capital underwriting evaluates more than 130 factors including deposits, credit, time in business and business performance.
As fast as 2 hours
Working-capital and MCA approvals are advertised as potentially available in as little as two hours.
As fast as 4 hours
Credibly advertises funding in as little as four hours after an eligible offer is signed. Partner-product timelines differ.
Sources: Working-capital process ↗ · MCA funding timeline ↗.
Where Credibly offers financing: states & industries
Credibly markets financing to U.S.-based businesses and says it has financed businesses across more than 1,000 industries. MCA Shield’s research did not establish a complete product-by-product list of eligible states or restricted industries.
Geographic availability
Use the comparison value “U.S. businesses; confirm state and product eligibility.” Partner products and legal provider entities can have different state rules.
Industry eligibility
Credibly publishes examples across many industries, but a complete current exclusion list was not established. Regulated or higher-risk categories should be confirmed before applying.

Credibly merchant cash advance, reconciliation & existing MCA debt
Credibly directly offers merchant cash advances. That makes it especially important to distinguish new MCA financing from MCA debt-relief services designed to negotiate or restructure existing obligations.
How Credibly describes its MCA
The current MCA page describes a purchase of future receivables with a fixed daily or weekly ACH remittance. The remittance is sized using revenue at approval, while monthly reconciliation can be requested if actual sales later fall below projections.
Reconciliation is not automatic
Credibly says a merchant can request a credit for over-remittance after a slower month. That is different from an automatic daily reduction. Review deadlines, required bank statements, calculation method and exclusions in the actual Receivables Purchase Agreement.
Existing MCA / stacking question: the research did not establish a universal rule permitting stacked MCAs. Public customer reviews also show disputes about additional-financing restrictions. Ask whether existing or future financing triggers denial, default, consent requirements or fees.
Different needs: Credibly provides financing, not MCA debt settlement or restructuring. If your main problem is unsustainable existing MCA payments, research the MCA Debt Relief Companies directory. If you are seeking new capital, use the MCA Shield business-funding inquiry.
Credibly licensing, legal-record & regulatory research limits
The supplied research did not establish a verified company-specific government enforcement order, comprehensive state-license inventory, NMLS registration or final adverse judgment suitable for a broad compliance characterization.
Complete licensing inventory
State lending licenses, commercial-financing registrations and an NMLS identifier were not conclusively verified. Because direct and partner financing can involve different entities, check the legal provider shown in the agreement.
Comprehensive litigation / enforcement history
The research did not establish a specific matching CFPB, FTC or state-attorney-general enforcement action or complete court-history review. “Not established” should not be restated as “none exist.”
For a legal or licensing decision, verify the exact contract entity and use the relevant regulator’s live database.

About the author, research & source limitations
This is a public-source company profile, not firsthand borrowing experience, an individualized recommendation or a professional review of a reader’s financing agreement.
How this profile was researched
The profile uses Credibly’s current company, working-capital, MCA, line-of-credit and contact pages for product terms, direct/partner financing relationships, qualification standards and support information; BBB for accreditation, customer reviews and the complaint snapshot; Trustpilot for its current score and review count; and MCA Shield’s October 14 research package for deeper product, legal and disclosure gaps.
A supplemental October 15 check confirmed Trustpilot at 4.8/5 from 2,813 reviews, Michigan BBB complaints at zero, the New York BBB location as A+ but not accredited, current MCA reconciliation language, current MCA no-guaranty language, current line-of-credit requirements and the current 550+/20K working-capital product-specific screen.
What remains unverified or offer-specific
A complete current fee schedule, late/default charges, universal UCC filing policy, all partner lender identities, state-by-state product availability, full industry exclusions, stacking eligibility, tax-lien/judgment/default eligibility, cancellation/refund policy, support hours, servicing-transfer policies, comprehensive licensing history and complete litigation/enforcement history were not established.
Credibly’s own site contains qualification conflicts, including generic 500/15K figures versus current product-specific 550/20K thresholds. Missing information is not treated as zero fees, no obligation or unrestricted eligibility.
