Is OnDeck a potential fit?

Worth considering: an established business comparing a lump-sum loan with reusable working capital. The published minimums include one year in business, $100,000 annual revenue, 625 personal FICO and a business checking account.

Compare carefully: term-loan payments are daily or weekly, and the published average APRs make total cost important. A startup, business below the minimums, or owner seeking MCA settlement rather than another loan should research a different route first.

OnDeck loan requirements: minimums versus preferred qualifications

Start with OnDeck’s minimum application criteria, then distinguish them from characteristics the company says can strengthen an application. Meeting the minimums does not guarantee approval, the maximum amount or your preferred payment plan.

Credit check and documents

OnDeck advertises a soft personal-credit check when assessing eligibility and no hard inquiry for its primary applications. Confirm the process for any later action or partner product rather than assuming every financing route uses the same credit inquiry.

Send identifying information and bank documents only through a secure, verified application channel—not the premade email on this page.

What still needs an individual answer

A universal ownership-percentage rule, business-credit-score minimum and complete policy for existing MCAs, tax liens, judgments, bankruptcies or pending litigation were not established.

The original research notes that sole proprietors may qualify, but a complete current entity-by-product eligibility rule was not confirmed. Ask OnDeck about your exact structure.

Fit is more than a credit score: compare the proposed payment dates with when your business receives cash. A business can meet an application screen and still find the offered repayment schedule unsuitable.

OnDeck business loan rates, fees & total borrowing cost

OnDeck publishes historical average annual percentage rates (APRs) for both core products. Use them as cost context—not as minimum rates, maximum rates or a quote for your business.

Averages do not show the full range of individual offers. OnDeck says its lowest pricing is narrowly available to especially strong applicants. Compare your actual APR, net proceeds, fees, payment schedule and total repayment—not a promotional rate alone.

Early payoff: the term loan is not the line of credit

Supplemental verification: OnDeck’s term-loan FAQ distinguishes a qualifying 100% prepayment-benefit option from other offers, where it says 75% of remaining unpaid interest is due on early repayment. This refers to unpaid interest, not 75% of outstanding principal. The loan agreement specifies the applicable treatment.

Sources: OnDeck term loans and payoff terms .

Request a payoff illustration for the date you expect to repay. Also ask whether the amount assumes a scheduled automatic debit will still clear. A statement that there is “no penalty” should not substitute for the actual dollars needed to close the debt.

Written-offer checklist: amount deposited after fees, total repayment, number and size of payments, payment dates, all contingent charges, and payoff costs at your likely exit date. Copy the OnDeck email to request these details.

OnDeck term loans vs. lines of credit: limits & repayment

Source wording differs: OnDeck’s general FAQ lists 18–24 months for term loans, while its contact page says 3–24 months. The product page states a 24-month maximum. This profile uses the common maximum and leaves the shorter term to your actual offer rather than silently choosing a minimum.

Sources: OnDeck official FAQs · OnDeck official contacts · OnDeck term loans and payoff terms .

Credit-limit reviews are not on-demand requests

OnDeck’s credit-line page says accounts are reviewed for increases based on cash flow, net income and payment history; it does not accept applications for limit increases. Do not import another lender’s increase-request timetable into this product.

Sources: OnDeck line of credit .

Available credit is not an unconditional promise

OnDeck’s FAQs acknowledge that a line can be placed on hold. A complete public list of hold triggers, account-reduction rules and additional-debt restrictions was not established here. Ask about ongoing reviews before relying on future draws.

Sources: OnDeck official FAQs .

Partner financing is a separate offer

OnDeck’s lender-comparison article mentions access to financing up to $1 million through partners. That does not increase its own advertised $400,000 term-loan maximum or $200,000 credit-line maximum. Partner identities, eligibility and pricing require a separate offer.

OnDeck personal guarantees, collateral & UCC filings

Do not treat every OnDeck product as unsecured. A collateral description also does not answer every question about personal liability, existing liens or default remedies.

Supplemental primary-source verification

Term loan: secured, with a personal guarantee

OnDeck’s official FAQ describes a general lien on business assets and a personal guarantee, without requiring a specific asset or appraisal. It says personal assets are not taken as collateral; that is not a statement that the guarantee creates no personal exposure.

Product distinction

Line of credit: advertised as unsecured

OnDeck markets its credit line as not requiring pledged collateral. The sources reviewed do not establish a complete, universal credit-line guarantee agreement, all possible UCC provisions or every default remedy.

This page therefore does not label the line guarantee-free or promise that every OnDeck financing relationship is lien-free.

Sources: OnDeck official FAQs · OnDeck line of credit .

UCC release after payoff

OnDeck’s FAQ instructs paid-in-full borrowers to request a UCC release in writing at customerservice@ondeck.com. A universal processing deadline was not established.

Sources: OnDeck official FAQs .

Before signing, obtain the actual guarantee and security documents. Confirm who guarantees the obligation, which business assets are covered, any filing fees and lien-priority conditions, and what proof you receive after release. Existing MCA liens, tax liens or other secured borrowing may require an individual underwriting answer.

Research boundary: the supplemental check resolves the earlier research gap about the published term-loan security structure. It does not verify every credit-line agreement or replace a legal review of your own contract.

OnDeck vs. Bluevine vs. Lendio: side-by-side alternatives

This table compares business lines of credit with business lines of credit. OnDeck’s term loan is covered separately above. Bluevine offers a bank-issued branded line, while Lendio is a financing marketplace whose participating lender determines the final credit-line terms. These are research alternatives—not rankings or personalized recommendations.

Historical average APR, an advertised starting interest rate and marketplace category pricing are different measurements. Request written offers for the same borrowing amount and expected repayment period before comparing cost.

Lendio’s financing directory publishes 8%–60% for the LOC category. Confirm whether the quoted percentage is APR or another rate measure and obtain total repayment from the actual lender.
Fee / payoff distinction No annual, monthly or draw fee, and no prepayment penalty advertised. No maintenance fee; 12-week fixed-fee plan does not reduce total interest on early payoff. Lendio’s current LOC page advertises no individual draw fee. Annual, maintenance, late and prepayment terms remain lender-specific.
Main fit question Does the offered payment schedule and total cost fit your cash flow? Can you meet the higher screen for monthly rather than weekly repayments? Which marketplace lender, qualification screen, rate type, fees and repayment terms actually apply to your offer?

*Lendio marketplace qualification note: Lendio is not a direct lender. The 600 FICO, $6,000 monthly revenue and six-month figures were identified in Lendio’s published educational content, but MCA Shield’s research did not establish them as universal requirements for every current line-of-credit lender on the marketplace. The lender named in an actual offer controls final underwriting, pricing, fees and repayment terms.

Bluevine monthly screen: its plan guide specifies 700+ FICO, three years operating, a $10,000 average monthly bank balance and more than $80,000 monthly revenue or at least $960,000 annually. Base weekly eligibility is not monthly-plan eligibility.

What the review differences do—and do not—show

Different collection practices, sample sizes and reasons for posting can produce different scores. Neither a positive review nor a negative review proves how your financing will perform. Separate term-loan experiences from line-of-credit experiences where possible.

OnDeck application, approval & funding process

The application decision, signed agreement and usable funds are separate steps. Fast-funding advertising remains subject to approval, verification, timing and banking conditions.

1 · Apply

Start the application

OnDeck offers an online application and phone assistance. The application may assess eligibility for a term loan, credit line or both; it does not ensure approval for either.

2 · Verify

Verify business information

Prepare business information and recent business bank statements. OnDeck assesses credit and cash flow and may request further documentation.

3 · Review

Read the actual offer

Confirm the lender, product, fees, payment schedule and guarantee or security obligations before signing. Public minimums and historical APR averages are not your offer.

4 · Fund

Check same-day conditions

Eligible weekday checkout before 10:30 a.m. Eastern can qualify for same-day funding, typically by 5 p.m. local time. After the cutoff, or on weekends and bank holidays, the funding footnote states 2–3 business days.

5 · Eligible later draws

Separate Instant Funding

This credit-line feature requires registration and a supported business debit card. Its published limits are $1,000–$10,000 per draw, one request per day, and no availability on the agreement-signing day. Transfers typically complete within 30 minutes, subject to restrictions.

6 · Manage

Monitor repayments

Track scheduled bank-account debits and balances through the online account. Confirm how overlapping draws affect your total payment and how to obtain written payoff or closure confirmation.

Sources: OnDeck qualification requirements · OnDeck term loans and payoff terms · OnDeck line of credit · OnDeck state and funding conditions · OnDeck official FAQs .

Funding-time distinction: the general FAQ also describes ordinary ACH as taking 1–2 business days. The 2–3-day estimate above is the specific after-cutoff funding disclosure, not a claim that every ACH transfer takes the same time.

A $200,000 line is not a $200,000 instant transfer: approved credit, available credit and the Instant Funding transfer cap are different. The required $1,000 opening draw also matters when deciding whether you need to open a line now.

Can OnDeck refinance existing merchant cash advances?

OnDeck advertises business financing and discusses debt consolidation, but the reviewed public material does not establish that every business with existing, stacked, delinquent or defaulted MCAs qualifies. OnDeck is not presented here as an MCA settlement or restructuring provider.

Sources: OnDeck official website and disclosures · OnDeck term loans and payoff terms .

Confirm eligibility and use of proceeds

Ask which advances may remain, which balances must be paid off, and how existing UCC filings, tax liens, collections, judgments or litigation affect approval. No universal maximum number of existing MCAs was established.

Compare the full before-and-after payment burden

A new loan can add an obligation instead of replacing one. Compare all remaining debt payments plus the proposed OnDeck payment, and account for origination charges and any payoff cost on the old advances.

A smaller periodic payment alone does not prove lower total borrowing cost or sustainable cash flow.

New funding or help with existing obligations? For a funding comparison, use the MCA Shield business-funding inquiry. For research on companies addressing MCA payment pressure, visit the MCA Debt Relief Companies directory. These are different needs and different provider categories.

OnDeck reviews, rates, requirements & financing FAQs

What is OnDeck’s BBB rating?

The matched business record showed an A+ grade and accreditation at the October 15, 2026 check. The 2.58/5 customer-review score is a separate measure. See the dated BBB details and source links.

What credit score and revenue does OnDeck require?

The published minimums are 625 personal FICO, $100,000 annual business revenue, one year in business and a business checking account. Preferred characteristics are higher. Compare minimums with preferred qualifications.

What interest rate will OnDeck offer my business?

That requires underwriting and an individual offer. The historical averages shown here are not a minimum, maximum or guarantee of your rate. Review the APR context and fee table.

Does OnDeck charge an origination fee?

Term-loan origination charges and renewal restrictions differ from the line-of-credit account-fee disclosures. See the published fee range and the 0% eligibility caveat.

Can I repay OnDeck early and save money?

The answer depends on the product and payoff provisions. Do not apply the credit line’s advertised prepayment terms to every term loan. Read the term-loan payoff distinction and request a dated written quote.

Can I choose monthly payments on an OnDeck term loan?

The term-loan product page advertises daily or weekly payments. Weekly or monthly payments are advertised for the line of credit. An option’s existence does not guarantee it will be offered to every applicant. Compare the product schedules.

Does OnDeck require collateral or a personal guarantee?

The published security description differs between the term loan and credit line. Review what the official disclosures establish and obtain your own guarantee and security documents.

Is OnDeck Instant Funding available as soon as I sign?

The published conditions exclude the day you execute the credit-line agreement and require registration and a supported business debit card. See transfer limits and timing.

Can I request a larger OnDeck credit limit?

The credit-line page describes periodic account reviews rather than applications for an increase. Read the ongoing-credit section and verify the current policy with OnDeck.

Does OnDeck lend in North Dakota?

Its official state page excludes North Dakota and U.S. territories. Additional underwriting and industry restrictions apply. Check state and industry details.

Can OnDeck consolidate my existing MCA debt?

The public sources do not establish a universal MCA refinancing or stacked-MCA approval policy. Review the existing-debt questions; do not assume new financing automatically replaces the old obligations.

Where are OnDeck’s Google reviews?

A confidently matched Google rating and count were not established in this research, so no numerical Google score is assigned. See the verified platform snapshots.

Who receives the MCA Shield funding inquiry?

MCA Shield receives it—not OnDeck. The form is not an OnDeck application and does not guarantee a referral to OnDeck, approval or a particular funding amount. Open the MCA Shield funding inquiry.

Research basis and supplemental checks

The profile draws on MCA Shield’s OnDeck research dated October 14, 2026, with supplemental public-source checks on October 15. Company sources support advertised product facts; review platforms support their own ratings and customer accounts; the selected legal discussion uses published court orders.

The supplemental check added fee, payoff, security, release and credit-review detail where the earlier research had gaps. These are additional verifications, not claims that OnDeck changed a policy on October 15. The comparison uses each company’s own sources rather than treating a competitor’s marketing table as definitive.

Ratings and source wording are dated snapshots. The review section records changed retrieved values, and the profile identifies differences in term-loan durations, BBB complaint measures, state coverage and Lendio marketplace eligibility. Lendio’s published line-of-credit screening figures are presented as marketplace and educational context rather than universal lender requirements.

What remains unverified or offer-specific

Your actual APR, payment, net proceeds, full default charges and maximum available amount require an offer. A universal credit-line guarantee/UCC policy, complete MCA underwriting criteria, licensing inventory, current executive roster and single formal headquarters designation were not established. No Google score is invented. Missing information is not interpreted as no fee, no obligation or unrestricted eligibility.
