How the directory works: Cards rotate daily on an America/Chicago calendar within two separate groups of five; the comparison table stays fixed. Display position does not indicate quality. Sponsored placement may be available; paid listings are identified as “Sponsored.” Inclusion alone does not establish a paid relationship. Compare Equipment Financing and Leasing Options

Before comparing equipment financing companies, identify the agreement you are being offered. Ask each provider to explain ownership, payment obligations and what happens at the end of the term.

Questions to distinguish financing structures; availability depends on the provider and program.
Option to discussWhen to investigate itWhat to confirm
Equipment purchase financingYou want to acquire equipment for ongoing business use.Ownership, collateral, repayment schedule, final payment and lien release.
Equipment leaseYou want to compare paying for equipment use with purchasing it.Return requirements, renewal, purchase option, residual value and end-of-term notice.
Vendor-arranged financingThe seller offers a financing application with the equipment quote.Actual finance provider, cash purchase price, financing price and any dealer-related charges.
SBA-backed financingYou want to investigate an eligible equipment purchase under an SBA program.Program eligibility, lender requirements, documentation and closing timeline.

The SBA identifies machinery and equipment purchases as an eligible use of 7(a) proceeds; 504 financing can support qualifying long-term equipment. This does not establish that any company above offers either program. Sources: SBA 7(a) loans ↗ · SBA 504 loans ↗.

Equipment Financing Rates: Compare the Full Cost

When looking for equipment finance companies with low rates, request a written schedule for the same equipment price, financed amount, down payment and term. A low monthly payment alone does not establish the lowest total cost.

Ask for the pricing details

  • Quoted interest rate and APR, where provided and applicable.
  • Whether the rate is fixed or variable and how any changes work.
  • Down payment, advance payments and documentation or origination fees.
  • Payment amount, frequency, number of payments and any final balloon.
  • Insurance, taxes, purchase-option charges and other required costs.

Compare ownership and exit costs

  • Total cash paid to own the equipment at the end.
  • Early-payoff amount and whether paying early reduces charges.
  • Lease return, renewal or buyout terms and deadlines.
  • Whether freight, installation or training can be included.
  • What happens if delivery is delayed or the equipment does not work.

Illustration: A $5,000 upfront payment plus 36 payments of $1,500 totals $59,000. A separate $3,000 required purchase payment would bring that to $62,000 before any other costs. These are hypothetical amounts, not a company quote or an APR calculation.

Equipment Financing Requirements and Minimums

Compare eligibility before spending time on applications. The figures that matter can vary by provider and product; this hub does not assign a universal minimum credit score, revenue level or operating history.

Business and owner qualifications

  • Time in business and whether startups are considered.
  • Personal and business credit criteria and the type of credit inquiry.
  • Revenue, cash flow and requested financial records.
  • Industry and geographic restrictions.
  • Personal guarantees and treatment of existing obligations or liens.

Equipment and transaction requirements

  • Minimum and maximum financing amounts.
  • Required upfront contribution or deposit.
  • New versus used equipment, age, mileage or hours.
  • Dealer, private-party, auction and online purchase rules.
  • Inspection, valuation, title, insurance and delivery conditions.

Prepare for a more useful quote

Have an itemized equipment quote, seller details, intended use, desired financing amount and preferred timeline ready. Ask for the provider’s document checklist before sending sensitive records. Use its verified secure application channel for identification, bank statements and financial documents.

Find Equipment Financing That Fits Your Business

These are research starting points based on the published features in the overviews, not recommendations that one company will approve your application.

Startups and limited history

Compare Beacon, Clicklease, Smarter and Triton, along with the newer-business programs described by JR Capital, Taycor and TopMark. Ask about owner experience, cash down, guarantees and the exact lender’s criteria.

Established businesses

Ascentium and Crest publish useful two-year and 650-credit benchmarks. Compare both with other eligible providers using the same equipment quote, term and final ownership outcome.

Used equipment or a private seller

Beacon and JR Capital expressly discuss private-party purchases. Confirm inspection, equipment age, title, condition and seller-payment requirements before paying a deposit.

Technology, software or a larger project

Research LEAF, Crest, Taycor and Ascentium. Ask which software, installation, training or other project costs qualify and how fuller financial documentation changes the available amount.

Each linked overview provides the underlying company sources. Filters describe researched features; they do not establish approval, availability in every state or the lowest cost.

Equipment Financing Company Reviews and BBB Ratings

Use reviews to identify questions about service, documents, payment changes, collections and contract endings. Match the review listing to the exact company and product, and read recent complaints alongside responses.

  • A BBB business grade, accreditation, complaint count and customer-review score are different measures.
  • Record the source, review count and date when comparing ratings.
  • Separate company testimonials from independent review-platform records.
  • Consider sample size and repeated themes instead of relying on one review.
  • A favorable rating does not establish approval odds, low pricing or suitability.

The overviews above link separate BBB business records and customer-review sources. JR Capital’s matching BBB record remains unverified, and the LEAF and Smarter listings require the identity notes shown in their cards. Unverified does not mean zero reviews or no complaints.

Equipment Financing Company Comparison FAQs

What is the best equipment financing company?

There is no single best fit for every business. Compare your equipment, qualifications, upfront budget, ownership plans and the complete written offer. This directory supplies research starting points rather than a best-overall award.

Are equipment finance companies and equipment financing companies different?

The terms are commonly used for businesses offering or arranging equipment funding. The important distinction is the actual agreement and whether you are dealing with the funding provider, a broker or a seller arranging financing.

How do I compare equipment financing companies?

Use the same equipment quote, down payment and desired term. Compare eligibility, all payments and fees, ownership, collateral, guarantees, early payoff and end-of-term obligations. Then review dated reputation sources.

Which company has the lowest equipment financing rates?

This directory does not establish a lowest-rate provider. A company’s advertised starting rate is not a personalized offer or necessarily an APR. Obtain individualized written quotes and compare equivalent financing structures and total costs.

Can startups or businesses with lower credit qualify?

Beacon, Clicklease, JR Capital, Smarter Finance USA, Taycor, TopMark and Triton advertise consideration or programs for newer businesses. Requirements differ; use the startup filter and source links above. Crest states it does not finance pure startups. Ascentium normally expects two years, with a limited related-corporate-guarantor exception.

Can I finance used equipment?

Confirm the proposed program’s equipment-age, condition, seller, valuation and title requirements. Eligibility for a used asset should be checked before committing to the purchase.

Is equipment leasing better than an equipment loan?

Compare your expected use period, ownership goals and full contract costs. Ask what you must pay or do to purchase, return or continue using the equipment at the end of each proposed agreement.

Does submitting an inquiry contact these 10 companies?

No. The quote form goes to MCA Shield. It is not an application sent to all 10 companies and does not guarantee approval or a referral to a particular provider. Review the form’s disclosures before submitting.

Why these 10 equipment financing companies?

These companies were selected to cover a practical mixture of funding needs: smaller equipment leases, bank-provided financing, startup programs, trucks and heavy machinery, technology purchases, and lender-network options. They also provide enough public information to support useful research and make them easier for a business owner to vet. This is not an exhaustive market list or a claim that these are the best equipment financing companies overall.

How the summaries are prepared

The hub draws on MCA Shield’s expanded profiles and linked company, BBB and customer-review sources. Official disclosures support advertised product features; review platforms support their own dated scores. We identify program-specific limits, unresolved conflicts and missing information rather than interpreting them as no requirements or no fees.

The research snapshot is October 21, 2026. Summaries use the expanded-profile research and direct sources linked here. Figures may change after that check. MCA Shield has not borrowed from or tested every provider and does not calculate a composite star rating.

Company representatives may submit factual corrections for free. Placement does not purchase favorable editorial conclusions. Confirm current eligibility, all costs and contract terms with the actual finance provider before making a decision.
