Asset-Based Lending Leads for Lenders and Brokers

Find asset-based lending leads that fit your facility sizes, collateral requirements and industries served.

That file you can’t fund could help you find your next client.

A request falls below your minimum or outside your collateral criteria. You may not have a referral partner—or you may spend weeks waiting for updates, a funded deal and a commission. Submit an eligible referral with permission; when another member claims it, earn a credit toward an available opportunity your own team can pursue.

You assess the fit. You handle the conversation. You build the client relationship.

Sample Asset-Based Lending Leads: Inventory, Receivables & Mixed Collateral

See how an asset-based financing inquiry can present the requested amount, business type, collateral notes and claim cost. These examples help lenders and brokers compare potential fit before reviewing a full file.

Fictional demonstration records, not available borrowers or verified financing opportunities. Amounts are requests, not approved borrowing capacity. Select an image to view it full size. Any $40 standard claim price in the sample artwork is the non-Platinum cash fee; use the membership pricing beneath each sample for both options.

Asset-Based Business Lending Leads: Start With the Collateral

An asset-based lending lead is a business inquiry about financing supported by eligible business assets. Useful intake information separates the requested facility from the assets offered as collateral and identifies existing financing that needs review.

This page is for lenders and brokers seeking commercial lending referrals. An exchange record is an opportunity for assessment—not an approved loan or an independent appraisal of the business’s assets.

Receivables-backed credit facilities

Businesses may seek a revolving facility supported by eligible accounts receivable. Capture the receivables balance, aging, customer concentration and existing assignments so the lender can assess fit.

Inventory-backed financing

A distributor or manufacturer may seek funding supported partly by inventory. Record what is held, its location, turnover and any reported obsolescence; the balance-sheet amount is not automatically its lending value.

Facilities combining multiple asset classes

Some requests involve receivables, inventory and other business assets. Describe each category separately rather than treating total assets as immediately available collateral.

Refinancing an existing secured facility

A business may be exploring another lender because its current facility no longer fits. Record outstanding balances, reported liens, maturity and the reason for the proposed change. A new lender must assess any payoff and priority requirements.

Collateral is a starting point, not approval. Asset ownership alone does not establish eligibility, availability or repayment capacity. The receiving lender performs its own underwriting and collateral review.

Turn Out-of-Criteria Business Funding Leads Into Better Matches

A business can fall outside your facility minimum, collateral mix or industry coverage while still warranting another lender’s review. Record the specific mismatch and obtain appropriate permission before referring it.

  1. 01 / REFER

    Outside your facility range

A distributor seeks a $400,000 facility supported by reported receivables and inventory, while your firm starts at $1 million.

  2. 02 / EARN

    Earn after another member claims

Submit the eligible inquiry with fit details and permission evidence. Review and acceptance alone do not earn a credit.

  3. 03 / CHOOSE

    Choose with your earned credit

Use one earned credit to claim a suitable available standard inquiry—for example, a manufacturer seeking a larger asset-based facility. Active Platinum members pay no cash claim fee; non-Platinum members add $40.

Illustrative example, not live inventory or universal lending minimums. Reported collateral does not prove borrowing capacity. Credits do not guarantee equal lead value or a direct swap with the same member.

Help grow the referral network

Know a company that could be a good fit?

An inquiry outside one company’s criteria may be exactly what another company can handle. More active providers, lenders and brokers with different specialties, service areas and deal sizes create more opportunities for useful matches for everyone.

Where Asset-Based Lending Leads Can Come From

Member referrals

Business finance providers contribute eligible inquiries outside their facility range, collateral criteria or industry coverage. Review why each request was referred.

Eligible lead bundles

Eligible unclaimed lead bundles provide additional purchase options when available. Compare inquiry age, collateral details and the displayed terms before purchasing.

Each claim goes to one receiving member within MCA Shield; prior contact outside the exchange must be disclosed. Inventory is not guaranteed.

Understand the Borrowing Base Before Assessing the Opportunity

Reported asset value, appraised value and lender-approved borrowing capacity are different measures. For a borrowing-base facility, capture the relevant asset classes and reporting dates without assuming an advance rate or presenting the full asset balance as available financing.

Use the qualification checklist below to review collateral quality, existing liens and reporting readiness alongside the requested facility.

For technical background, see the OCC’s Asset-Based Lending handbook. It is not an endorsement of MCA Shield or an approval standard for every provider.

Optional annual Platinum membership

A fixed directory position. More ways to connect.

Promote your company with annual directory placement, a dedicated profile, professional articles, direct inquiry opportunities and quarterly reporting. The MCA directory offers ten priced tiers. Other categories have separately confirmed inventory, publication schedules and routing scope.

$2,000–$11,000 per year, based on your position within the chosen category

Fixed annual placement

Your purchased directory priority stays fixed for the agreed term. Your first term ends November 30, 2027, with prelaunch time included if you join before opening. Higher-priced tiers appear above lower-priced tiers, with no daily listing rotation.

Your profile, website & inquiries

Help shape your profile’s layout, section arrangement and conversion links. Present your services and credentials, with relevant links to your website, contact page or quote form.

2–11 articles each year

Receive one professionally written company-specific article annually for each $1,000 of your placement price, published on MCA Shield on an agreed schedule.

Industry-specific visibility work

Category content, company profiles, supporting articles and internal links help visitors discover and evaluate your company on MCA Shield.

Credit-only standard claims

Active Platinum includes approved exchange access. Claim an available standard exchange lead for one earned credit + $0 cash fee once the exchange opens.

Quarterly performance reports

See your company’s traffic, visitor pathways, website clicks and recorded opportunities, with quarter-to-quarter comparisons and the next priorities.

Two inquiry round-robins for the top three paid MCA tiers

Only the $9,000, $10,000 and $11,000 paid MCA tiers share eligible direct merchant inquiries from MCA Shield’s quote form and a separate round-robin of MCA debt relief ISO/partner inquiries.

A lower-priced tier does not qualify for either rotation, even while temporarily appearing in the first three listings. Directory position and lead eligibility are separate.

Routing depends on active status, service fit, geography, availability and documented permission. Inquiries directed specifically to your company and standard exchange claims remain separate. Other categories require their own agreed routing scope; these MCA benefits do not automatically apply to them.

*Only the three identified paid MCA tiers qualify, subject to fit, permission and active participation. Purchasing a tier in one category does not include placements or routing benefits in other categories.

While higher tiers are vacant, your listing may appear higher among active members. When those tiers fill, listings follow the purchased order. Your purchased priority remains fixed for the agreed term through November 30, 2027; continued placement requires renewal. Holders receive the first opportunity to renew their tier before it is offered to another company, subject to the agreement’s deadlines and terms.

What your quarterly report includes
  1. Inquiries and leads received: direct profile inquiries, exchange claims and eligible round-robin introductions, separated by source.
  2. Profile and article traffic: views, unique visitors and the company content attracting the most interest.
  3. Website and contact-option clicks: activity on website, phone, email and inquiry links, with completed inquiries counted separately.
  4. Traffic sources and search visibility: available referral sources, search queries, impressions and clicks for your company content.
  5. Visitor pathways and drop-off points: how visitors move from guides and directories to your profile, website or inquiry, and where they leave.

Reports use available tracking, compare quarters as history becomes available, and explain the next priorities. Reporting does not give members access to unrelated visitors’ identities or financial details; identifiable inquiries are shared only through permitted delivery routes. Activity or sales after a visitor reaches your own website require your tracking or shared results.

Exchange claims, start dates and membership details

Earn a credit when your referral is claimed. Submit an eligible inquiry with the prospect’s permission. When another member claims your accepted referral, you earn one credit. Submission alone does not earn a credit.

Standard claims: active Platinum members use one earned credit with no cash claim fee. Non-Platinum members use one earned credit plus $40. Claims require exchange approval and available inventory; no starting credits are included.

Direct inquiries and bulk inventory: the two MCA round-robins are included only with the qualifying paid MCA tiers. Direct merchant inquiries from MCA Shield’s quote form are not individually sold to free members or lower-tier Platinum members. Standard exchange claims and separately priced bulk purchases remain distinct.

Timing: Platinum is available now. The first term ends November 30, 2027; joining before launch includes the prelaunch period. Publication, article scheduling, reporting and applicable routing start dates are confirmed in the agreement. Standard exchange claims begin at opening, scheduled by November 30, 2026, subject to completing safeguards and compliance review. The agreement addresses any launch changes.

Prefer the exchange only? Lead Exchange membership is free for a limited time. Platinum is optional. Standard claim fees and other purchase terms still apply.

Scope: visibility work supports your presence on MCA Shield. It does not include a separate SEO retainer for your own website. Paid placement does not change editorial ratings or buy an endorsement. Any promotional partnership requires separately agreed terms and does not automatically include either paid MCA inquiry round-robin.

If your company does not purchase Platinum

Participation is optional. An unpaid MCA company can remain a small text link toward the bottom of the directory, outside the ten expanded paid placements. An unreserved tier may be offered to another MCA debt relief company.

Its profile’s quote buttons may route to a clearly labeled MCA Shield quote form rather than its own website. The form explains the referral route before submission; a general MCA Shield inquiry may reach a different participating provider. A form expressly identified for a named company remains intended for that company.

Additional annual supporting pages, member-directed layout input and quarterly reporting are not included. Factual corrections remain available regardless of payment. Companies may still apply for the limited-time free Lead Exchange membership.

Reservations, payments, renewal and upgrades

Temporary MCA tier holds: use the reservation page to select an available tier. Only a successful reservation confirmation creates a hold. Save your private management link and complete the agreement and payment requirements before the displayed expiration. A hold does not collect payment or confirm enrollment.

Non-refundable Platinum payments: payments for Platinum membership and directory placement are non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. No full or prorated refunds are provided for voluntary cancellation, unused time or unused benefits. Confirm your category, tier, included services and start dates before paying. This policy does not excuse failure to perform contracted obligations or override rights under applicable law.

Renewal: holders receive the first opportunity to renew their tier under the annual agreement. Renewal pricing, deadlines and payment requirements are disclosed before acceptance. This is not lifetime placement or automatic renewal authorization.

Upgrades: a higher tier must be available. Any additional charge, effective date, content allowance and routing eligibility require written confirmation; no automatic proration or price-difference formula is promised.

Review the Terms of Service and your annual agreement before enrollment. The Privacy Policy explains reservations, information handling and permitted referrals.

For an MCA tier, check the reservation page for current availability and temporary-hold conditions. For another category, send an inquiry to discuss fit and availability. An inquiry does not reserve a tier, collect payment or commit you to a purchase. Paid enrollment follows the agreement and payment process.

View search screenshots and visibility goals →

Paid directory priority reflects the purchased tier, not an independent quality ranking or endorsement. Membership does not guarantee exchange approval, rankings, traffic, available leads, equal inquiry quality, signed partnerships or sales. Placement and benefits apply during the agreed active term. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law; review the payment details above before enrollment. Lead sharing remains subject to the relevant form disclosures and permission, not membership alone.

What Makes an Asset-Based Lending Lead Worth Reviewing?

A qualified business lending lead should describe what was actually checked. Exchange acceptance is not a lender approval, completed field examination or independent collateral valuation.

DetailWhat the lender needs to assess
Funding request and purposeRequested facility, timing, intended use and whether an existing facility needs replacement.
Collateral mixReported receivables, inventory, machinery or other relevant business assets, shown separately.
Receivables detailAging, customer concentration, disputes and existing assignments requiring review.
Inventory detailInventory type, location, turnover and reported slow-moving or obsolete stock.
Existing debt and liensOutstanding balances, lender positions and any reported restrictions affecting the assets.
Business performanceCurrent financial records and operating outlook; collateral does not replace all repayment analysis.
Reporting readinessAvailability of financial statements, aging schedules, inventory reports and existing facility documents.
Permission and historyOriginal inquiry date, contact accuracy, unresolved need and disclosed sharing history. Sensitive records belong in an authorized secure process.

A provider mismatch is not universal rejection

A facility below one lender’s minimum or a different collateral mix can justify a referral. Disclose the facts without claiming another lender will approve the business.

Records that do not meet exchange standards

Fake or duplicate inquiries, invalid phone numbers, missing required permission, opt-outs, resolved needs and original inquiries more than 30 days old do not meet the intended standards. Consumer requests and new MCA funding are excluded.

Quality protection: Report a qualifying undisclosed defect within 30 days of the original CRM inquiry date—not the purchase date. A verified claim provides one Super Credit for a standard replacement without the $40 fee. A declined application or poor fit alone does not qualify. Read delivery, dispute and replacement rules →

Asset-Based Lending Lead Questions

Are standard lead claims free with Platinum?

Active Platinum members pay no cash fee on standard exchange claims, but each claim requires one earned credit. You earn a credit when another member claims your accepted referral—not just when you submit it. Without Platinum, each standard claim costs one earned credit plus $40. Eligible bulk purchases are separately priced. Exchange approval and opening are required; inventory and results are not guaranteed.

Where can lenders find asset-based lending leads?

MCA Shield is building an exchange for eligible member referrals and unclaimed lead bundles. Visit the main business funding lead exchange and select Asset-Based Business Lending. Public sample records are fictional, not live applicants.

Does having business assets mean a prospect qualifies?

No. Eligibility depends on the lender’s assessment of the assets, existing obligations, reporting, business condition and proposed transaction. Book value is not a guarantee of borrowing capacity.

How do these leads differ from general business loan leads?

This category emphasizes collateral-based facilities and the reporting needed to assess them. Broad term-loan and general credit-line inquiries belong in the business loan lead category unless an asset-based structure is the actual need.

Is receivables-backed lending the same as invoice factoring?

Not necessarily. A receivables-backed loan and the purchase of invoices have different structures. Route a request to sell invoices to the invoice factoring category; describe the intended transaction accurately.

Does this category include equipment purchase leads?

A facility secured partly by existing equipment can differ from financing the purchase of a machine. Use the equipment financing overview for purchase or lease inquiries.

Can I refer a business with existing liens?

Existing liens require disclosure and lender review, not a promise of acceptance or automatic rejection. The receiving lender must assess priority, payoff and any consent requirements.

Are inventory financing leads included?

Inventory-supported business facilities can fit this category when suitable providers and inquiries are available. Record inventory type, condition, location and turnover. Inclusion does not guarantee that any particular stock is eligible collateral.

Can commercial finance brokers participate?

Yes, subject to member approval, permitted services and any applicable licensing or referral requirements. Exchange credits do not establish a separate funded-deal commission agreement.

What documents help with an ABL referral?

Current financial statements, receivables aging, inventory reports and existing loan documents can help a lender assess fit. Record availability without publishing confidential financial records in the listing. Underwriting may require additional information.

For platform-wide questions, see the exchange FAQs.

Keep Confidential ABL Documents Out of Public Listings
