MCA Shield · Business funding company research

Compare Business Loan & Line of Credit Companies

If you are searching for the best business loan company or business line of credit for your situation, start with the terms that actually affect your business. Compare 10 business funding companies by loan amounts, credit score and revenue requirements, repayment schedules, rates and fees, company role, BBB records and customer-review sources.

The companies below are researched profiles, not a 1-through-10 quality ranking. Positions 1–5 rotate only within the top-five group every 24 hours, while positions 6–10 rotate only within the second group on the same schedule. Quote requests go to MCA Shield, not directly to a company listed here.

How this directory works: Company cards are divided into two display groups. Positions 1–5 rotate only within positions 1–5 every 24 hours, while positions 6–10 rotate only within positions 6–10 on the same schedule. The fixed comparison table does not rotate. Rotation within either group is not a quality ranking. Sponsored placements may be available; any paid placement must be clearly labeled “Sponsored.” MCA Shield may receive referral compensation. Inclusion, display position and third-party ratings are not endorsements or guarantees of suitability. Ratings and product terms are dated research snapshots and can change.

How to compare business loan companies and small business lenders

The best business loan company for one business can be a poor fit for another. Start with eligibility, but do not stop there. A lower payment, faster approval or lower stated monthly rate can hide a longer repayment period, additional fees or a higher total cost.

Compare the complete financing offer

  • Net proceeds: how much cash reaches your account after fees.
  • Total repayment: total dollars required if you follow the agreement as written.
  • APR or comparable annualized cost: useful when available for comparing unlike offers.
  • Payment frequency: monthly, weekly or daily withdrawals can have very different cash-flow effects.
  • Prepayment: determine whether paying early actually lowers the total cost.

Compare the company relationship

  • Is the website the actual lender or a marketplace?
  • Who will own and service the financing after closing?
  • Will a lender or partner make a hard personal-credit inquiry?
  • Is there a personal guarantee, UCC filing or specific collateral?
  • Can another loan or MCA create a default or stacking restriction?
Search tip: phrases such as “business loan rates,” “business loan requirements,” “business lender reviews” and “business loan company BBB rating” are useful starting points—but always match the information to the exact product, lender and date.

Business loans for lower credit scores

Business owners searching for “business loans for bad credit” often see approval claims before they see the cash-flow tradeoffs. In this comparison, SBG Funding and Fundible publish general screens around 500 FICO; Credibly’s main working-capital/MCA pages show 550+, and Fora Financial commonly publishes 570+.

A lower credit threshold does not mean easy approval or low-cost financing. Revenue, deposits, time in business, recent defaults, existing debt and the provider’s underwriting model can matter just as much as the credit score.

  • SBG Funding: 500+ published general screen; revenue figures conflict by source.
  • Fundible: 500+ general screen; program-specific minimums vary.
  • Credibly: 550+ on main working-capital/MCA pages.
  • Fora Financial: generally 570+ in reviewed company materials.

Compare business line of credit companies

A business line of credit can be useful when you need reusable working capital instead of one lump-sum loan. Compare the credit limit, draw fees, interest method, minimum draw, repayment period, renewal rules and whether unused availability costs anything.

  • Bluevine: up to $250K; 625+ FICO standard screen.
  • OnDeck: $6K–$200K; 625+ FICO general qualification screen.
  • Lendio: marketplace LOC range currently $1K–$750K; final lender controls terms.
  • SBG Funding: $5K–$500K; current page discloses draw fees up to 2%.
  • Kapitus: up to $750K; more established-business qualification profile.
  • Fora, Credibly, Rapid Finance and Fundible: additional LOC options with different provider and underwriting structures.

Direct business lender vs. business loan marketplace

A direct lender evaluates and funds the transaction itself or through its lending entity. A marketplace or hybrid platform may collect one application and connect the business with one or more outside lenders or funding companies. Neither structure is automatically better.

Direct-provider advantages to research

Potentially clearer underwriting ownership, servicing, renewal policies and a more direct answer about fees. OnDeck is an example of a company primarily researched as a lender/financing provider.

Marketplace advantages to research

Potentially broader product and lender access from one application. Lendio is a marketplace; SBG Funding uses a hybrid provider/marketplace model; Fundible also relies on third-party funding relationships.

The key question is simple: Who is the actual legal funding provider on my specific offer? That answer determines which contract, pricing, hard-pull policy, collateral rules and servicing relationship apply.

Research sources for the 10 company comparison

MCA Shield links the most important company, BBB and review sources directly inside each company overview above. The directory below collects those citations in one place so readers can check the underlying source without opening every expanded profile first.

Source hierarchy: current company product and qualification pages are used for advertised financing terms; BBB business records are used for BBB grades/accreditation and complaint research; Trustpilot is shown as a separate customer-review source. Review-platform scores are not combined into an MCA Shield rating.

How to read these sources and snapshots
  • Company pages: support advertised products, limits and qualification screens. They are company statements, not independent approval or affordability findings.
  • BBB: the business grade, accreditation, customer-review average and complaint history are separate measures.
  • Trustpilot: ratings and counts are dated snapshots and can change; collection practices and sample sizes differ by company.
  • Conflicts: when company pages disagree, MCA Shield preserves the discrepancy and explains it in the expanded profile rather than silently selecting the more favorable figure.
  • Missing information: a fee, requirement or legal term that was not verified is not treated as zero or nonexistent.

Business loan company comparison FAQs

What are the best business loan companies?

There is no single best business loan company for every borrower. A stronger comparison matches the company to your financing need, credit profile, revenue, time in business, desired amount, repayment tolerance and total-cost priorities. This page compares 10 companies without treating display order as a ranking.

Which business loan companies work with lower credit scores?

Among the reviewed companies, SBG Funding and Fundible publish general screens around 500 FICO, Credibly’s main working-capital/MCA pages show 550+, and Fora Financial commonly publishes 570+. Lower credit thresholds do not guarantee approval or lower cost.

What is a good credit score for a business line of credit?

Requirements vary widely. In this comparison, Bluevine and OnDeck publish 625+ screens, Lendio’s current line-of-credit marketplace page shows 600+, SBG Funding publishes 500+ general criteria, and Kapitus uses higher product-specific screens. Revenue and business history also matter.

Should I choose a business term loan or line of credit?

A term loan can fit a defined lump-sum expense, while a line of credit can fit recurring or unpredictable working-capital needs because repaid principal can usually be reused. Compare total cost, draw fees, repayment period and how often you expect to borrow.

How do I compare business loan rates?

Do not compare only the headline rate. Ask for net proceeds, total repayment, APR or comparable annualized cost where available, every fee, payment frequency and the effect of paying early. A factor rate or monthly percentage is not the same thing as APR.

Does checking business-loan options hurt my credit?

It depends on the company and stage of the process. Some companies advertise an initial soft pull, while an actual lender or partner can perform a hard inquiry later. Confirm who will pull credit and when before authorizing the application.

Why are BBB ratings and customer-review scores different?

A BBB business grade, BBB accreditation, BBB customer-review average, complaint record and Trustpilot score are separate measures. MCA Shield keeps them separate instead of blending them into one score.

Can I use a business loan to refinance an MCA?

Some business-financing companies allow debt consolidation or refinancing, but qualification, payoff mechanics and savings are not universal. Compare the exact payoff on existing advances with the complete cost and payment schedule of the replacement financing.

How MCA Shield researches business funding companies

MCA Shield uses company product pages, qualification disclosures, fee and repayment information, BBB records, major review platforms and other public sources to build expanded company profiles. Published minimums and review totals are dated snapshots, not permanent facts.

Company claims are attributed. Conflicting requirements are disclosed instead of silently choosing the more favorable number. Review-platform ratings remain separate, and missing information is not treated as zero fees, no guarantee or unrestricted eligibility.

Compare your business funding options

Tell MCA Shield about your business, funding amount and goals. We can use that information to evaluate potential business-loan and line-of-credit options based on fit—not simply the first company shown in this directory.

Your inquiry goes to MCA Shield, not directly to a company in this directory. MCA Shield may receive compensation for referrals. Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee approval, a particular rate, funding amount or provider.
